| 5.5.1 | Completed | Regularly update and reprint the Chicago Department of Transportation's bicycle publications. | 2005, 2015 | Monitor inventory and needs twice a year, updating and reprinting publications whenever necessary, beginning in 2005. | I believe that stocks are healthy and that several were updated in 2011. The Chicago Bike Map is updated annually. The Bike Parking for Your Business could use a new version. |
| 5.5.2 | Completed | Produce Spanish-language versions of appropriate Chicago Department of Transportation bicycle publications. | 2006, 2007 | Identify priority publications to produce in Spanish in 2006; produce first publication in 2007. | There are multiple publications printed in Spanish, also available online. |
| 5.5.3 | Unknown Status | Identify needs for new publications and produce them in a timely manner. | 2006, 2007 | Identify priority publications to produce in 2006; produce first publication by 2007. | Status unknown. |
| 5.5.4 | In Progress | Arrange for bicycle information to be reprinted and/or distributed by partner agencies, utility companies, and the private sector. | 2006 | Continue distributing publications to bicycle stores. | 5.5.5 | Completed | Improve the Bicycle Programs Web site, www.ChicagoBikes.org, providing comprehensive information to current and potential bicyclists. | 2006, 2007 | Improve and market Web site in 2006. Increase the number of Web site visits by 10-20 percent per year, beginning in 2007. | I, myself, improved and marketed the web site in 2007-2010. I believed I doubled the number of visits in about 1 year. |
| 5.5.6 | Unknown Status | Develop and widely distribute a new Lakefront Trail map. | See Chapter 1: Bikeway Network; Strategy 5.1 (1.5.1) | Status unknown |
